Why I set it up
Ginger Afro is the name I use for the websites and branding I make alongside my day job in product and ecommerce. I design them, build them and keep them running.
I started it for four reasons.
Teaching myself
I learn best by building. Every site is a chance to try something new and work it out for myself.
Helping friends
Friends with small businesses need good websites, and this is a way I can help them get one.
Talking the same language
Building real sites keeps me fresh and up to date with web development and the tools the developers I work with use every day, so I can talk their language.
It's fun
Taking a site from a blank page to live is one of my favourite things to do.
